To us, fresh ingredients make for higher-quality food that is healthier and more delicious. That’s why our thoughtfully selected ingredients arrive daily at our Freshpet Kitchens in Bethlehem, PA, and go straight into our recipes.
US farm raised chicken or beef is our first ingredient
The only ingredients we’re interested in are the best ingredients we can find. Every recipe we make starts with 100% farm-raised chicken, beef or fish, and all-natural fruits and veggies grown right here in the USA.
Steam-cooked to lock in vital nutrients
Our recipes are gently steamed at low temperatures to protect the integrity of the ingredients. Then we vacuum seal each meal to lock in the natural goodness and it’s off to the fridge where fresh food belongs. That’s why our pet food is packed with essential micronutrients only found in fresh food.

We partner with shelters and rescues to increase their visibility and provide the pets in their care with the food and resources they need until they find their forever homes. This is how we’re helping pets live their healthiest, happiest, most tail wagging filled lives.
We’re committed to helping the environment. Since June 2016, the Freshpet Kitchens have been completely landfill-free through our partnership with Sustainable Waste Solutions.
All of the energy utilized at Freshpet Kitchens is renewable wind energy, which allows us to source our energy locally and conserve millions of kilowatts annually.
To date we’ve planted over 25,000 trees that have reduced our carbon footprint and restored hundreds of acres of wildlife habitats. Each year we continue to plant more with our friends at the National Forests Foundation.

Darn good dog food

It sounded promising and even smelled flavorful, but my dog tasted a piece and spit it out. I tried multiple times on different days and she wouldn’t have it.

I mix this with a small amount of dry food in order for her to get the best of both. She will eat this, as well as just a serving of either dry or refrigerated.

My dog gets so excited when I get this for her she eats it up! If it’s not mixed with dry food it only lasts like 2 days though and she’s only 14 pounds so might want to get the bigger bags.

Unfortunately my little dog didn’t like it but she also doesn’t like beef as much! But on the other hand my other dogs didn’t mind a bit. She loves the chicken would give anything for different kinds of arrangements of chicken and turkey, mixed with beef is ok. Thanks and keep up the great work!

My dog loves it but the portions and the bags size are small and it’s not worth a small bag the picture looks large but the bags in person are small . I tried the 1.5 LB and it’s just small . But my dog loves it so I’m stuck with it. She hates dry dog food.

If you have a small breed, make sure to buy the small breed food. The other is too large for their little mouths. My dogs are both seniors and prefer the beef to the chicken. Pricey, but worth it for them!!

ordered “chicken” , but they substituted “beef” instead. My dog will not eat beef. so had to give this product to a friend for their dog.

High price! The only dog food my 57lb doggy can eat. I add 97% fat free ground turkey (boiled) to it most of the time.

Always pleased with Freshpet products. I have used them for my dogs for several years. It is a quality food and my dogs love it. No leftovers in this house, lol

Our pug absolutely loves Freshpet for small dogs, both the chicken and the beef. We sometimes mix it with another high quality wet dog food and other times just give her a cup of Freshpet by itself. Either way, she always eats it, and we feel good because it is good for her.

I was ordering one of the most expensive natural dog foods available and my dog was not much interested. This dog food is great!! My dog gobbles it up and can’t wait til her next meal. It actually costs about half of what I was paying for the expensive brand.
