My dog seems to enjoy
My small dog seems to enjoy, though picks out the “life bits” and puts them beside his bowl. He eats the kibble, then within the half hour of finishing will come back to eat the “life bits”. Could be just one of my dog’s quirks! Vet approves this food.

Great ingredients!
Blue Buffalo is some good quality food with some excellent ingredients that is just a little pricey compared to some dog foods but it is totally worth it. Just look at the first few ingredients, chicken being #1. I’ve been feeding this to my chihuahua since she was a puppy for a year now and just switched to the adult small breed. My dog is happy, healthy and full of energy. I’ve had no issues at all with feeding my dog BB. Comparing BB ingredients to other brands I find BB to be superior and will continue to order in the future for sure.

Pickiest Morkie finally eats Blue Buffalo
I don’t always write reviews, but I just had to come on here and say this:I have literally tried everything with my morkie since he was a baby and that’s 8 years ago. I have tried the best and most expensive foods from Ziwi, Stella and chewy, merrick outback, raw diet frozen kibbles to actually cooking chicken and rice or meat and rice and my dog would eat something by for a few days and then legit stop eating all together for a day and half until he was really hungry again. I was at my wits end, this was a battle everyday. I couldn’t even give him treats cause I was afraid he would expect it and not eat his food, which happened often. I’m happy to say he eats on the regular and I give him his treats. Thank you Blue buffalo.

Very good dog food that my Pomeranian loves for hard kibble.
Great food for small dogs. My little Pomeranian loves the flavor. My grocery store does not carry this, so I order online. I got it on Prime Day so no shipping costs. He loves this food, and the ingredients manage his dietary requirements well. I order a larger sized amount and it lasts a long time.

Beware of current batch: caused diarrhea
I have gotten this food through Subscribe & Save for a while now, but I believe the latest batch has caused diarrhea in both my dogs. We took them off the food and gave chicken/rice/pumpkin until the diarrhea started to subside and we started slowly giving them the food again but the diarrhea would come back. The vet even prescribed antibiotics for them, but nothing helped until I finally bought a different bag of the same food and stopped trying to feed them from the original bag. Oh my goodness – Blue Buffalo is AMAZING!!
Oh my goodness – Blue Buffalo is AMAZING!!! My baby girl Yorkie has cataracts in her right eye, she is going bald and most importantly she is listless and refuses to roam – If that does not cut your heart, she would have diarrhea everyday like a Picasso painting on my bedroom floor and I felt sick to my stomach to see the bowel movements, I thought surely my Yorkie was dying. You know Yorkies stay like puppies their whole life in that they are active and happy as a puppy. I started crying my Yorkie is going to be 13 in October and I feel like I am losing her right so I cry all the time. Then my husband said to Google Small breed for elderly dogs. I did and I thank the Lord you begin with “B” You were the first and last stop I read “Life Protection” I am NOT EXAGERATING! Within 3 days my Yorkie who is named Yoko stopped having diarrhea and her bowels were getting more solid, then by the week back to normal. She became more active in 10 days and by 14 days she was seen throughout the house and I was so amazed at the transition!! OMG, her hair is all over her face, my baldy blind baby was on the mend- I just repurchased another bag and I realize her babies should be on the same food as they are now 6 years old so maybe they will sustain a healthier life – Blue Buffalo you make my heart glow this is not an ACT it is an actual Testimonial to the IMPACT and RESULTS I have seen and measured with the love of my life my Yoko – I cannot thank you enough for existing- Please let the world know that your product doesn’t just Protect Life – It Improves their Life in leaps and bounds and with in 3 days they will begin to witness what appears to be Miraculous – I will sign anything an affadavit to provide you with support but I do not think you will need it for if anyone will try they will NEVER leave you – The key is to inform the world of your product before they get to the point of my Yoko, In closing thank you for providing a quality of Life for my Yoko

Best Dog Food Ever!

Pup doesn’t like the small round pieces
My rescue pup tried this brand (lamb flavor) shortly after I adopted her. She likes this better than hill science version that we got from the adoption agency but not as much as the wellness brand we got afterwards. There are actually two types of kibble shapes here, one larger triangular shape and a smaller round shape (they called this the “cold-formed” pieces). She hates that smaller round piece for some reason and would spit it out. I do not know if it’s something with the flavor but I felt like it was better to try something else that she would more happily eat.

My Puppy’s Choice
Charlie loves the Blue choice! It settles well in his tummy, is the perfect size for a small dog and he loves it!I’ve tried other brands but nothing compares with Blue Buffalo. His medical check ups are always healthy as well as his weight. I will stick with Blue for him.

Quantity and quality
My dislike was that it only comes in the 15 lb bag and not the 34 lb bag. And it’s pretty pricey but the other blue dog food I was purchasing the lamb and brown rice was adult but the pieces were much bigger but I might have to go back considering the price

Small pieces are not their favorite

What’s with the tiny dark round pieces?
Our little Havaton likes this food, but then it’s the only one she’s ever had. When I dog sit my sister in law’s Yorkie she spits out the little pieces. They look like cloves, but obviously they aren’t. Now my labradoodle granddog does the same. The other one like the whole meal deal There’s no accounting for taste, I guess.

LifeSource isn’t for everyone
The ingredients are great, I used this brand for quiet some time and recommended it to others.My puppies love the flavor of this brand of dog food, however, there are 2 types of bites in all of this brand of dog food. You have your normal dog food and then you have these LifeSource bites that are mixed in which provide more nutritional value for your dogs diet.Some dogs (like mine) choose to pick out the Lifesource bites and spit them on the floor and just enjoy the regular bites which results in a mess and half of the dog food not being eaten. Be aware this may not be the case for your dog but others have commented about this issue as well.I unfortunately had to change dog food due to the amount of waste and cleanup I had to deal with but as I said not all dogs have this issue so give it a try and if it works out the ingredients are great and most dogs love the taste.

Dog loves it
I recently switch to this brands because my dog (3yrs 20lbs) was eating regular size kibbles and having trouble chewing them. Size: These are the perfect size for this small teeth and we dont have to water them to soften them like we did with our other brand. Taste: He actually enjoys them. He even ate them without any wet food (which he never does). Smell: It doesnt have an awful smell. We’ve tried a few brands and can attest this one is good. Health: There’s a few benefits that sold me on this brand such as the first 5 ingredients and protein content. Here is an analysis I read “Our dry matter label analysis reveals the recipe contains 29% protein, 17% fat and 46% estimated carbs… which results in a fat-to-protein ratio of about 58%.”

Picky Chi Won’t Eat
If you have a picky Chihuahua you may want to pass on this. Mine would rather starve than eat it plain. But rather than throwing it away, I mix it with a spoon of her favorite wet food and she’ll eat most of it. For some reason she won’t eat any flavor made by Blue Buffalo (?) though my Jack Russel use to love it.

Great food and my dog loves it – prepare to cut the dog’s nails more frequently as they grow faster and harder
I love this food… more importantly, my dog loves this food and my nephew (a male Pomeranian) loves this food, too! My Chi-weeny’s (½ Dachshund and ½ Chiwahwah) black, short-haired coat is well conditioned and gleans in the light. She has always been a voracious eater – she’s a hound after-all – but she comes running as soon as I open the container of food: She smells it and will literally wiggle herself off her feet in anticipation from wagging her tail!The downside….. her nails grow much faster than they used to grow. Okay, so not really a downside for anyone with a dog that is not even part Dachshund. The nutritional value is higher than the previous food and so I have to cut her nails more frequently. It’s only an issue for one of the two dogs mentioned but that’s because she is such a pain in the butt to cut her nails. The other dog is a cake walk to cut his nails so even though they grow faster too… WELL… this is a high class problem :).The Pomeranian is a finicky eater. He would sometimes go a day or even two without eating for his previous food. When I convinced my friend to switch to the same food, he never misses a meal and even comes running when you ask, “Are you hungry?”. This is true even in the heat of a Florida summer when some dogs will forgo a meal or two. If you have a picky eater, try this food.The food is pleasant smelling compared to others and my dog loves the food all the way to the end of the bag. This is a true test in my opinion. For large and small breeds, some foods don’t maintain their taste and integrity to the end of the bag. The Blue Buffalo Lamb and Rice Small Breed has delivered in taste, nutrition and by staying fresh to the end of the bag.

Picky Dogs
I have 3 small breed dogs and when i put this food down at first (always have been on Blue Buffalo since they could eat small kibble), they would rub their bodies on it to get their scent on it but they love it. I would imagine that the taste is different. But they have always loved Blue Buffalo

This dog food formula seems to have cured my dog’s alopecia!
Our loveable non-pure breed Chiweenie Taco has had alopecia since he adopted us in 2015. Vet thinks he’s 8-9 years old. He’s had alopecia running the length of his spine since he entered our family. We’ve tried different things but nothing worked. We called it his ‘reverse mohawk’ and it never seemed to bother him. We could see all the freckles on his skin because it was a patch of hair loss measuring 4″x18″ with more hair loss along the flank.Nothing about his life has changed except this food, Blue Buffalo Life Protection Small Breed, introduced in late 2021 and his hair has been growing THICK & LUSTROUS ever since! I thought the Pure Balance brand we’ve fed him forever was reasonably nutritious but I can safely say this food has turned our dog into Fabio and it’s awesome. I AM IMPRESSED BLUE BUFFALO!

Wow, my little Pup loves this stuff!
Our 10 y.o., 10 lb. Poodle mix (rescued from The Humane Society…she got a home and we left another cage open to rescue another dog or cat) has been eating the major manufacturer premium brand “E” food for small dogs. Then, when she turned 10, I started thinking of her health and how long she would be with us – she’s a little girl with a “really huge” personality and presence… We want her around as long as possible…So I started reading up on dog food’s and nutrition – after awhile I settled on giving Blue a try. We carefully mixed a little with her old food for a month until she was eating only Blue. My friend mentioned she was perkier – she’s always way over-active but she said “really looking good, bright eyes, etc.”Another benefit is she evacuates easier, we realize her food is moving through her while it still has fluids making it easier for her to take care of her business, instead of her having to push so hard, and she goes a little more often also.We find her general health to be AOK, and the nutrients and ingredients are better… Just ‘read the ingredient list’ on your dog’s food bag! So now she gets a “super” premium dog food. Luckily, she’s small and isn’t a food hog or we’d have to get a part-time job to keep her in deluxe food. But, don’t mistake the comment, we would do whatever needed to keep our pup in good health and here with us for many more years. She’s a part of our family, in fact, she’s got a “second Mom & Dad” down the block and we can say she’s the only dog on the block who “owns” two homes! Lucky little dog… Lucky humans…

Very disappointed!
Not quite sure what to say really. I’ve purchased Blue Buffalo on here before. More convenient because I’ve been sick and husband working lots of hours so easier to have it delivered. The very 1st bowl my puppy started from this bag and another ordered at same time (I mixed together) vomiting immediately, by the 2nd meal that day she had diarrhea every 20 minutes. The next morning my 2nd dog started with diarrhea and vomiting as well. So now I have 2 sick dogs. Wait a few days and got them on the mend, feed them again and it comes out both ends of both dogs again. We have had older dog on Blue Buffalo since July when we got her. I’ve always fed her the mixture of 2 bags of 2 different flavors and hadn’t switched from those so that wouldn’t be a factor. Switched puppy to this brand and flavor as soon as we got her home with no issues. Puppy was on puppy food for about month then transition her to regular food (what we were feeding to our older dog). She transitioned with no issues at all. Once on the mend again for the 3rd time….yes, I fed it to them again thinking maybe they both got a bug and gave it to the other. After the 3rd round I couldn’t keep cleaning kennels and physically keep going up and down stairs every 20 minutes with poopy dogs because of my medical issues. I switched the dogs food to different all natural manufacturer after they were feeling better and within the 1st meal their stool was back to normal and no vomiting. I can say I was really frustrated with this happening. I kept trying to give Blue Buffalo the benefit of the doubt. I would tell everyone what we were feeding or dogs. To have to throw a 15 lb bag and a 6 lb bag of food away made me so frustrated. I had even joined the buddies reward program, put the puppies pictures in there, used the app for there shot progress etc and had quite a bit of points saved up. Why we chose Blue Buffalo brand was because I wanted a brand that was made in USA without all the crap in the food. Thought I could trust the company. I didn’t contact them due to my health issues it was in the back of my mind but never got around to it. Couldn’t send back missed deadline. Won’t be buying Blue Buffalo any more. It’s really upsetting to be honest. The brand we did switch to the pups love. They don’t eat as much as they were and their coats are shiny. They absolutely love their new food.

We got our dog from a friend of a friend last year, and when we picked him up he came with a crate, toys, etc. He also came with a partially eaten bag of food. I can’t quite remember the brand but I want to say it was Lil’ Bites or something like that. I had seen an article about the quality of dog food and I started reading it. I immediately realized that we were feeding our dog crap. The main ingredients were biproducts and other nasty stuff. So I did some research and landed on Blue Buffalo. The ingredients were what I was looking for an there were no added colors or things like that.I know its funny to rate a dog food on the way your cats react to it, but I think its important. The cats never bothered with the dog’s old food. They could have cared less. Now we have to monitor the dog while he eats or the cats will try and team up on him and eat his food!! The dog seems more happy with this food and seems to be eating a more appropriate portion. The dogs waste seems better as well which I know is a good sign of the quality of food an animal is eating.I would definitely recommend this food for anyone with a small breed, adult dog. Like the article that I read said… “colors and whatnot are for you, not the dog”. So who cares what color the food is. Blue Buffalo proves this point. I’m happy that my dog is happy. Now if I can devise a better system to keep the cats away!

My Chihuahua is a VERY picky eater..
He is almost 3 years old and has a very sensitive tummy, it took me 8 months to find a food his little tummy could handle. All his life he would have periods where he would go on 2-3 day long “hunger strikes”.. I guess his taste buds and his tummy disagreed on whether or not the food was good!! lol I took him a few times to get checked about his hunger strikes but the vets always said he was healthy…(but it still bugged me) He has always been skinny and small (even for a Chihuahua) and never really ate much, plus he’s so active it’s hard to put meat on his bones even with him eating every day, I could not stand to see him lose a pound or so(which is a lot for an already small boy) when he had a perfectly good bowl of food sitting there. So, finally coming to the realization that maybe it was his food and not him just being weird, I read up on Blue and thought I would give it a try. He has been on it for I guess a little over a month now and is eating SOOOOO much better!! He still has his days where he just picks ( I guess that is just his weirdness!!) but for the most part he eats every day!! He looks SOOOOO much better too, his black fur is shinier and softer and he has gained some muscle mass (now he is a healthy skinny) and is much happier *PLUS* it doesn’t bother his tummy at all!! I am so thankful that I found Blue!!! If you have a finicky eater I would definitely recommend giving this food a try.

My dog seems to enjoy
My small dog seems to enjoy, though picks out the “life bits” and puts them beside his bowl. He eats the kibble, then within the half hour of finishing will come back to eat the “life bits”. Could be just one of my dog’s quirks! Vet approves this food.

Great ingredients!
Blue Buffalo is some good quality food with some excellent ingredients that is just a little pricey compared to some dog foods but it is totally worth it. Just look at the first few ingredients, chicken being #1. I’ve been feeding this to my chihuahua since she was a puppy for a year now and just switched to the adult small breed. My dog is happy, healthy and full of energy. I’ve had no issues at all with feeding my dog BB. Comparing BB ingredients to other brands I find BB to be superior and will continue to order in the future for sure.

Pickiest Morkie finally eats Blue Buffalo
I don’t always write reviews, but I just had to come on here and say this:I have literally tried everything with my morkie since he was a baby and that’s 8 years ago. I have tried the best and most expensive foods from Ziwi, Stella and chewy, merrick outback, raw diet frozen kibbles to actually cooking chicken and rice or meat and rice and my dog would eat something by for a few days and then legit stop eating all together for a day and half until he was really hungry again. I was at my wits end, this was a battle everyday. I couldn’t even give him treats cause I was afraid he would expect it and not eat his food, which happened often. I’m happy to say he eats on the regular and I give him his treats. Thank you Blue buffalo.

Great food for small dogs. My little Pomeranian loves the flavor. My grocery store does not carry this, so I order online. I got it on Prime Day so no shipping costs. He loves this food, and the ingredients manage his dietary requirements well. I order a larger sized amount and it lasts a long time.

Beware of current batch: caused diarrhea
I have gotten this food through Subscribe & Save for a while now, but I believe the latest batch has caused diarrhea in both my dogs. We took them off the food and gave chicken/rice/pumpkin until the diarrhea started to subside and we started slowly giving them the food again but the diarrhea would come back. The vet even prescribed antibiotics for them, but nothing helped until I finally bought a different bag of the same food and stopped trying to feed them from the original bag. Oh my goodness – Blue Buffalo is AMAZING!!! My baby girl Yorkie has cataracts in her right eye, she is going bald and most importantly she is listless and refuses to roam – If that does not cut your heart, she would have diarrhea everyday like a Picasso painting on my bedroom floor and I felt sick to my stomach to see the bowel movements, I thought surely my Yorkie was dying. You know Yorkies stay like puppies their whole life in that they are active and happy as a puppy. I started crying my Yorkie is going to be 13 in October and I feel like I am losing her right so I cry all the time. Then my husband said to Google Small breed for elderly dogs. I did and I thank the Lord you begin with “B” You were the first and last stop I read “Life Protection” I am NOT EXAGERATING! Within 3 days my Yorkie who is named Yoko stopped having diarrhea and her bowels were getting more solid, then by the week back to normal. She became more active in 10 days and by 14 days she was seen throughout the house and I was so amazed at the transition!! Pup doesn’t like the small round pieces
My rescue pup tried this brand (lamb flavor) shortly after I adopted her. She likes this better than hill science version that we got from the adoption agency but not as much as the wellness brand we got afterwards. There are actually two types of kibble shapes here, one larger triangular shape and a smaller round shape (they called this the “cold-formed” pieces). She hates that smaller round piece for some reason and would spit it out. I do not know if it’s something with the flavor but I felt like it was better to try something else that she would more happily eat.

Charlie loves the Blue choice! It settles well in his tummy, is the perfect size for a small dog and he loves it!I’ve tried other brands but nothing compares with Blue Buffalo. His medical check ups are always healthy as well as his weight. I will stick with Blue for him.

What’s with the tiny dark round pieces?
Our little Havaton likes this food, but then it’s the only one she’s ever had. When I dog sit my sister in law’s Yorkie she spits out the little pieces. They look like cloves, but obviously they aren’t. Now my labradoodle granddog does the same. The other one like the whole meal deal There’s no accounting for taste, I guess.

LifeSource isn’t for everyone
The ingredients are great, I used this brand for quiet some time and recommended it to others.My puppies love the flavor of this brand of dog food, however, there are 2 types of bites in all of this brand of dog food. You have your normal dog food and then you have these LifeSource bites that are mixed in which provide more nutritional value for your dogs diet.Some dogs (like mine) choose to pick out the Lifesource bites and spit them on the floor and just enjoy the regular bites which results in a mess and half of the dog food not being eaten. Be aware this may not be the case for your dog but others have commented about this issue as well.I unfortunately had to change dog food due to the amount of waste and cleanup I had to deal with but as I said not all dogs have this issue so give it a try and if it works out the ingredients are great and most dogs love the taste.

I recently switch to this brands because my dog (3yrs 20lbs) was eating regular size kibbles and having trouble chewing them. Size: These are the perfect size for this small teeth and we dont have to water them to soften them like we did with our other brand. Taste: He actually enjoys them. He even ate them without any wet food (which he never does). Smell: It doesnt have an awful smell. We’ve tried a few brands and can attest this one is good. Health: There’s a few benefits that sold me on this brand such as the first 5 ingredients and protein content. Here is an analysis I read “Our dry matter label analysis reveals the recipe contains 29% protein, 17% fat and 46% estimated carbs… which results in a fat-to-protein ratio of about 58%.”

Picky Chi Won’t Eat
If you have a picky Chihuahua you may want to pass on this. Mine would rather starve than eat it plain. But rather than throwing it away, I mix it with a spoon of her favorite wet food and she’ll eat most of it. For some reason she won’t eat any flavor made by Blue Buffalo (?) though my Jack Russel use to love it.

I love this food… more importantly, my dog loves this food and my nephew (a male Pomeranian) loves this food, too! My Chi-weeny’s (½ Dachshund and ½ Chiwahwah) black, short-haired coat is well conditioned and gleans in the light. She has always been a voracious eater – she’s a hound after-all – but she comes running as soon as I open the container of food: She smells it and will literally wiggle herself off her feet in anticipation from wagging her tail!The downside….. her nails grow much faster than they used to grow. Okay, so not really a downside for anyone with a dog that is not even part Dachshund. The nutritional value is higher than the previous food and so I have to cut her nails more frequently. It’s only an issue for one of the two dogs mentioned but that’s because she is such a pain in the butt to cut her nails. The other dog is a cake walk to cut his nails so even though they grow faster too… WELL… this is a high class problem :).The Pomeranian is a finicky eater. He would sometimes go a day or even two without eating for his previous food. When I convinced my friend to switch to the same food, he never misses a meal and even comes running when you ask, “Are you hungry?”. This is true even in the heat of a Florida summer when some dogs will forgo a meal or two. If you have a picky eater, try this food.The food is pleasant smelling compared to others and my dog loves the food all the way to the end of the bag. This is a true test in my opinion. For large and small breeds, some foods don’t maintain their taste and integrity to the end of the bag. The Blue Buffalo Lamb and Rice Small Breed has delivered in taste, nutrition and by staying fresh to the end of the bag.

I have 3 small breed dogs and when i put this food down at first (always have been on Blue Buffalo since they could eat small kibble), they would rub their bodies on it to get their scent on it but they love it. I would imagine that the taste is different. But they have always loved Blue Buffalo

This dog food formula seems to have cured my dog’s alopecia!
Our loveable non-pure breed Chiweenie Taco has had alopecia since he adopted us in 2015. Vet thinks he’s 8-9 years old. He’s had alopecia running the length of his spine since he entered our family. We’ve tried different things but nothing worked. We called it his ‘reverse mohawk’ and it never seemed to bother him. We could see all the freckles on his skin because it was a patch of hair loss measuring 4″x18″ with more hair loss along the flank.Nothing about his life has changed except this food, Blue Buffalo Life Protection Small Breed, introduced in late 2021 and his hair has been growing THICK & LUSTROUS ever since! I thought the Pure Balance brand we’ve fed him forever was reasonably nutritious but I can safely say this food has turned our dog into Fabio and it’s awesome. I AM IMPRESSED BLUE BUFFALO!

Wow, my little Pup loves this stuff!
Our 10 y.o., 10 lb. Poodle mix (rescued from The Humane Society…she got a home and we left another cage open to rescue another dog or cat) has been eating the major manufacturer premium brand “E” food for small dogs. Then, when she turned 10, I started thinking of her health and how long she would be with us – she’s a little girl with a “really huge” personality and presence… We want her around as long as possible…So I started reading up on dog food’s and nutrition – after awhile I settled on giving Blue a try. We carefully mixed a little with her old food for a month until she was eating only Blue. My friend mentioned she was perkier – she’s always way over-active but she said “really looking good, bright eyes, etc.”Another benefit is she evacuates easier, we realize her food is moving through her while it still has fluids making it easier for her to take care of her business, instead of her having to push so hard, and she goes a little more often also.We find her general health to be AOK, and the nutrients and ingredients are better… Just ‘read the ingredient list’ on your dog’s food bag! So now she gets a “super” premium dog food. Luckily, she’s small and isn’t a food hog or we’d have to get a part-time job to keep her in deluxe food. But, don’t mistake the comment, we would do whatever needed to keep our pup in good health and here with us for many more years. She’s a part of our family, in fact, she’s got a “second Mom & Dad” down the block and we can say she’s the only dog on the block who “owns” two homes! Lucky little dog… Lucky humans…

Very disappointed!
Not quite sure what to say really. I’ve purchased Blue Buffalo on here before. More convenient because I’ve been sick and husband working lots of hours so easier to have it delivered. The very 1st bowl my puppy started from this bag and another ordered at same time (I mixed together) vomiting immediately, by the 2nd meal that day she had diarrhea every 20 minutes. The next morning my 2nd dog started with diarrhea and vomiting as well. So now I have 2 sick dogs. Wait a few days and got them on the mend, feed them again and it comes out both ends of both dogs again. We have had older dog on Blue Buffalo since July when we got her. I’ve always fed her the mixture of 2 bags of 2 different flavors and hadn’t switched from those so that wouldn’t be a factor. Switched puppy to this brand and flavor as soon as we got her home with no issues. Puppy was on puppy food for about month then transition her to regular food (what we were feeding to our older dog). She transitioned with no issues at all. Once on the mend again for the 3rd time….yes, I fed it to them again thinking maybe they both got a bug and gave it to the other. After the 3rd round I couldn’t keep cleaning kennels and physically keep going up and down stairs every 20 minutes with poopy dogs because of my medical issues. I switched the dogs food to different all natural manufacturer after they were feeling better and within the 1st meal their stool was back to normal and no vomiting. I can say I was really frustrated with this happening. I kept trying to give Blue Buffalo the benefit of the doubt. I would tell everyone what we were feeding or dogs. To have to throw a 15 lb bag and a 6 lb bag of food away made me so frustrated. I had even joined the buddies reward program, put the puppies pictures in there, used the app for there shot progress etc and had quite a bit of points saved up. Why we chose Blue Buffalo brand was because I wanted a brand that was made in USA without all the crap in the food. Thought I could trust the company. I didn’t contact them due to my health issues it was in the back of my mind but never got around to it. Couldn’t send back missed deadline. Won’t be buying Blue Buffalo any more. It’s really upsetting to be honest. The brand we did switch to the pups love. They don’t eat as much as they were and their coats are shiny. They absolutely love their new food.

We got our dog from a friend of a friend last year, and when we picked him up he came with a crate, toys, etc. He also came with a partially eaten bag of food. I can’t quite remember the brand but I want to say it was Lil’ Bites or something like that. I had seen an article about the quality of dog food and I started reading it. I immediately realized that we were feeding our dog crap. The main ingredients were biproducts and other nasty stuff. So I did some research and landed on Blue Buffalo. The ingredients were what I was looking for an there were no added colors or things like that.I know its funny to rate a dog food on the way your cats react to it, but I think its important. The cats never bothered with the dog’s old food. They could have cared less. Now we have to monitor the dog while he eats or the cats will try and team up on him and eat his food!! The dog seems more happy with this food and seems to be eating a more appropriate portion. The dogs waste seems better as well which I know is a good sign of the quality of food an animal is eating.I would definitely recommend this food for anyone with a small breed, adult dog. Like the article that I read said… “colors and whatnot are for you, not the dog”. So who cares what color the food is. Blue Buffalo proves this point. I’m happy that my dog is happy. Now if I can devise a better system to keep the cats away!
